Our Mission

The Mission of Yuma County Safe Kids is to improve the well being of the community in the prevention of unintentional childhood injuries and fatalities— the number one killer of children ages 14 and under.

Becoming a Member

Membership in the Yuma County SAFE KIDS is free. We are looking for people that are interested in the safety and well-being of children.

As a member, you should plan on attending our monthly meetings (last Thursday of the month at noon) and be able to assist at least two or more times a year on our events.

It's a lot of fun and you get to meet some other great people. Plus, what you do can save a life.

There are opportunities, if you want, to become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.  Plus, every every year we pay to send one or two coalition members to Washington, DC to the National SAFE KIDS Worldwide Leadership Conference, where you can mingle with other child safety advocates, make new friends and network to make you more effective in your community.
