Membership in the Yuma County SAFE KIDS is free. We are looking for people that are interested in the safety and well-being
of children.
As a member, you should plan on attending our monthly meetings (last Thursday of the month at noon) and be able to assist
at least two or more times a year on our events.
It's a lot of fun and you get to meet some other great people. Plus, what you do can save a life.
There are opportunities, if you want, to become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Plus, every every
year we pay to send one or two coalition members to Washington, DC to the National SAFE KIDS Worldwide Leadership Conference,
where you can mingle with other child safety advocates, make new friends and network to make you more effective in your community.
There are also opportunities to serve as Coalition Chair, Co-chair, Secretary or Treasurer in addition to chairing or
serving on one of the many SAFE KIDS Committees: Below is a list of committees available:

- Burns (scald, fire and electrical) includes smoke detector program and fire prevetion
- Pedestrian (includes Walk Your Child to School program)
